I was just listening to some Eagles music and I had a thought.
Since the family concert, I had never actually thought back of that night when we performed Hotel California.
It had really given me a wonderful and exciting experience to perform one of the greatest songs ever created, and I'm sure it goes the same with my brother and the others who performed with me.
It gives you that feeling that no ordinary pop song can ever hope to etch upon its listeners, with all its catchy rhythms and strong lyrical notes. We may never know what it's like to be like the Eagles, but it has at least fed me a sip of performing one of their legendary songs live in front of (many?) people.
There're many other good bands out there who can pull off a show like this, but the most euphoric moment was the transition from the acoustic solo into the electric guitar solo, given that the crowd responded with cheers more than I ever expected. That was truly the first time, is definitely not going to be the last time I will experience that. It's like really, really addictive. I'm like growing a hunger for performances like this, heh.
Hopefully next year, my brother will put together another great show like this on his prom night, which he had already intended to do so way before this concert. How I wish I had a solid band uh.
Cheers everybody, rawk on! \m/
